Ashray Akruti is a registered non-profit, non-religious
organization; working since 1996, to improve the lives of people with
disability and marginalized sections of society. The organization strongly
believes in the potential of persons with disability and envisions a society
where people with disability lead a life of dignity as equal citizens with
equitable access to opportunities and services.
Responding to the need in the community for quality facilities
for hearing impaired children ,Ashray Akruti started its first special school
in Hyderabad in the year 1996 with just five children. Today , the organization
implements projects across health, education and skill development in the area
of disability with a focus on hearing impairment.
